Shamrock Cottage is your home for your holiday and we make sure it is welcoming, sumptuous, warm and very well equipped. Attention to detail and your comfort at Shamrock Cottage is our priority. On arrival we’ll meet and greet you and show you around to ensure you know how everything works, so you can start to relax from the moment you sit down with a refreshing cup of tea and a home made scone.
Shamrock Cottage is the ideal place to enjoy the charm and tranquillity of our private 11 acre parkland, Portagaria Wood, right on the shore of Lough Erne, the jewel in Fermanagh's crown. You'll be elevated slightly above the water so your views of the water are truly spectacular. Shamrock Cottage is your 5 star lakeside character Irish Cottage experience, its more than just a cottage.

Discover splendid woodland and lough views from this luxurious, relaxing retreat. Stroll in an area of outstanding natural beauty with serene tranquil waters and rolling hillsides. Whilst all views of the lough through the deciduous woodland are lovely, late autumn, winter and early spring views are even more spectacular. Relax in front of your homely log burning stove, with a glass of wine in your hand, whilst you take in the spectacular water views. This peace and quiet simply has to be experienced!

Ruth stayed with her family and says, “This is a group of gorgeous self catering cottages in Ireland. They overlook and are right next to Lough Erne, perfect for launching a kayak and fishing. The cottages are beautiful, so relaxing and genuinely 5 star quality. The attention to detail in the cottages is amazing - the kitchen is better equipped than mine and the welcome pack on arrival is a lovelytouch! And the kids loved it (there is a play area and lots of space!). We had grand plans to go out and ended up relaxing on the patio,kayaking from the cottage and not getting out of bed until midday (unheard of with children!!!) If you go, take a glass of wine to thehot tub. It's divine.” |

Pets
We do not allow pets at Irish Cottages. The surrounding fields have livestock in them and even the best behaved dogs get muddy and climb on the furniture from time to time. We are all very aware these days of the increasing numbers of people who suffer from asthma and allergies. To these ends we have a no pets policy at Irish Cottages, so please don’t ask if you can bring your pet, as our refusal can offend and we don’t wish to offend. Many thanks for your understanding.
