- Good pub food at the Pettigo Inn, in the local village of Pettigo (about 5+ minutes drive) - great atmosphere and friendly local people
- A good range of cosy pubs, good food, atmosphere and friendly locals - particularly good places to eat include Drumrush Lodge, Boa Island; The Mayfly Inn, Kesh; The Lough Erne Hotel, Kesh and The Cedars Bistro, Lisnarick
- Local shops of reasonable size in the local village of Kesh (about 10+ minutes drive)

Blakes of the Hollow, one of the most famous pubs in Ireland has changed little since its Victorian origin. Call in to enjoy the local craic and a pint of Guinness.

Enniskillen Castle built by the Maguire clan around 600 years ago housing the County Museum and The Inniskillings museum. The County Museum houses award winning displays including Country People, Country Places and The Making of Landscape.
CuilcaghMountain Park – a 265-hectare site and home of several rare or endangered species of plants and birds and together with the Marble Arch Caves forms the European Geopark
Kesh|- provides a couple of reasonable food shops, a chemist, a handful of pubs and eateries. The Mayfly Inn and Drumrush Lodge have the best reputation for food. There is a small sandy beach at Muckross Point that is great for the family. You simply can’t leave without a trip around the Kesh scenic route ending up at Castle Archdate Country Park.
Castle Archdale Country Park – take the forest walk along the lough shore passing the 17th century castle ruin, a variety of birdlife and the spring and summer magnificent carpet of wild flowers. Follow the special heritage trail and visit the WWII Flying Base museum
Belleek – is known internationally for it pottery. Explore the pottery and visitor centre to see the master craft intricacies. Established around the 1857 founded Belleek Pottery – guided tour, museum, showroom and café. Belleek is a thriving market village with a variety of pubs, shops, restaurants and a hotel. It is also a noted location for angling and other recreational activities.
Pettigo – is a small picturesque village on the border of Co Donegal and Fermanagh. It is bisected by the Termon River which forms the border between Donegal in the Republic of Ireland and Fermanagh which is in Northern Ireland. The portion of the village in Northern Ireland is officially called Tullyhommon, but is locally know as “High Street” due to its hillside position overlooking the village. Pettigo means “The place of the Blacksmith” it got its name from the large number of Blacksmiths that worked in the town in Celtic times.
Irvinestown – the home of the Lady of The Lake Festival and one of Northern Ireland’s best presented villages in summer with its floral baskets. A variety of pubs, shops, restaurants and a hotel.
Ballyshannon – the oldest town in Ireland is steeped in history. Inis Saimer, the little island situated in the Erne Estuary is said to be the spot where the first inhabitants of Ireland landed. Parthalon, a chieftain from Scythia (near modern Macedonia) is said to have landed here around 2700 B.C. Today Ballyshannon is a vibrant town, the gateway to County Donegal, rich in drama, music, sport and business. Ballyshannon is the birthplace of the well-known poet William Allingham (1824-1889) and one of the world’s greatest Rock guitarists Rory Gallagher.
